Volkswagen Virtus 

The Volkswagen Virtus is a sedan version of the international-spec Polo hatchback. This model has been spotted during testing in India. The styling of the new sedan is inspired by the Passat. Including signature VW grille, integrated DRL’s with slimmer headlamps, LED tail-lamps and sliding roofline.


The new mid-size sedan has a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power of 108 bhp and peak torque of 175 Nm. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. A new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine can also be found in this sedan, which is also offered in Taigun. With 7-speed DSG, this engine generates 147 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. Ford F-150 lightning


The new sedan will get the same interior and features as the Taigun SUV. It can get features like 10-inch large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrument console, automatic AC, wireless charging.

 

The new Volkswagen sedan will be based on the Virtus sedan car. Talking about its size, the new Volkswagen Virtus sedan is 4,480 mm in length, 1,751 mm in width and 1,468 mm in height. It is approximately 90 mm longer and 52 mm wider than the existing Vento. The wheelbase of the new car has been increased by 97 mm to 2,650 mm. This car can easily carry 521 liters of luggage, i.e. its bootspace is 27 liters more than the Vento.


The company may launch the new sedan in the last quarter of the current financial year. This new car will be seen on Indian roads by January-March 2022 next year
