Hyundai Alcazar
Hyundai Motor India has launched the Alcazar in the Prestige, Platinum and Signature variants, with prices starting at Rs 16.30 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, the ex-showroom price of its top-spec model is Rs 19.99 lakh. Bookings for the Alcazar opened last week for token amount of Rs 25,000.
The 6-seater variant of the Hyundai Alcazar will get captain seats in the second row. While the 7-seater variant has a bench seat. Huge space has been given in the cabin of Hyundai Alcazar. This SUV gets a best-in-segment wheelbase of 2,760 mm. Talking about the size of Hyundai Alcazar, its length is 4,500 mm, width is 1,790 mm and height is 1,675 mm.
With all three rows, the Alcazar has a boot space of 180 liters and the carmaker claims that the third row of this SUV will also be quite easy to get into. For this, the feature of tumble down has been given in the second row seats of the car. The bigger wheelbase will give more room for the passengers to stretch their legs in the middle and last row. The company wants to present the Alcazar as a premium product because of the mid-row console armrests, sliding seats and many such features.
Alcazar will come in 6 single-tone and two dual-tone color options. There are single-tone color options including Phantom Black, Polar White, Starry Night, Taiga Brown, Titan Gray and Typhoon Silver. At the same time, its dual-tone color options include Polar White with Phantom Black roof and Titan Grey with Phantom Black roof.
The Alcazar will be offered with two engine options. The first is the third generation Nu 2-litre petrol engine and the second is the U2 1.5-litre diesel engine. In this, the petrol engine generates torque of 159 PS and 191 Nm, while the diesel engine generates torque of 115 PS and 250 Nm. The option of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox can be found with both the engines. Hyundai claims that the 6-speed automatic unit, in particular, will deliver better performance and higher mileage due to the super flat torque converter. Because it reduces the loss of fuel during acceleration. The company claims that the new Alcazar SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 10 seconds.
Hyundai has given a lot of features to the Alcazar, including many new ones. The second line of this SUV has been given features like wireless charging, which is found for the first time in any car in this segment. It has 26.03 cm (10.25 inch) multi display digital cluster, Bose premium sound system (8 speakers), Auto Healthy Air Purifier with AQI Display, Front Row Seatback Table with Retractable Cup-holder and IT Device Holder, Front Row Sliding Sunvisor, Rear Window Sunshade, Smart Panoramic Sunroof with Voice Recognition, Second Row One Touch Tip and Tumble Seats ( Captain and 60:40 split seats), 64 colors of ambient lighting, 8 way power driver seat, Hyundai Blue Link (connected car technology). Talking about safety features, it gets many features like 6 airbags, vehicle stability management, isofix mounted seat, hill start, anti lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). Earlier these features have been seen in most of the new cars of Hyundai.

Hyundai says that the hydraulic rebound stopper in the front strut promises better rebound control, which, in turn, is sure to deliver a smoother riding experience.
