The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic has been launched in India at a price of Rs 2.43 crore (ex-showroom, India). This is Maybach's first luxury SUV to be sold in the global markets and has received several changes over the standard version of the GLS. The SUV is a part of the brand’s plans to launch 15 models in the country this year.


Martin Schwenk, MD and CEO, India Operations, Mercedes-Benz, told at the launch event that all the 50-plus units of the SUV for 2021 have already been booked even before the car's official launch. The company has said that the next batch of Maybach GLS 600 is going to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. 

The Maybach GLS 600 is based on the company's regular GLS SUV. Along with this, like all other Maybach, it has been given premium features like chrome radiator grille and end to end chrome grille for the bumpers. This makes the look of this super premium luxury SUV very classy. The Maybach GLS 600 comes with an electronically panoramic sliding or tinted sunroof. It has an OPQ roller blind. The interior is decorated with wood to give a premium touch to the centre console.

It gets ventilated massaging seats for a very comfortable ride. The company has given a tremendous infotainment system in this SUV which is equipped with MBUX system. The car has a large 12.3-inch display. Great features like Burnmuster surround sound system, ambient lighting system are also available. 2021 Jaguar F-Pace

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS 600 will be available in 4 and 5 seater options. The car will get extra legroom for the rear-seat passengers, which will give 1103 mm of space. The company has launched it with a 3155 mm long wheelbase. Dream room seat has been given in the 4-seater model of the SUV. It will already have a central console which has the facility of refrigerating the champagne bottle. It also has a place to keep the silver champagne glass.

The Maybach GLS 600 gets a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine. This engine generates 542 bhp power and 730 Nm torque. Apart from this, the motor has been equipped with 9G-tronic automatic transmission which makes its performance even better. The company has paired its engine with a 48-volt EQ Boost mild hybrid system that generates 21 bhp of extra power and 250 Nm of extra peak torque.
